Black Capped Chickadee (Poecile atricapillus) had a huge range and can be found in Canada from Coast to Coast. It is very friendly and approachable, quite often feeding out of people hands.
It is very similar the Carolina Chickadee but has a more brown on the body area and a slightly longer tail.
They have numerous calls depending on the time of year but the three part “Chick a dee dee dee” is the one that gives it it’s name.
