Northern Saw Whet Owl - Amherst Island, Ontario, Canada by

These Owls are tiny enough they can hide between the bows on a Spruce Tree. This little guy was very well hidden and safe from larger owls that do kill them for food.

Oh my! This goes right to the top of my favorites list today. A fabulous capture and especially meaningful, for I often hear an owl out in the woods near my home. I will imagine my owl looks like this one.

These little cuties have jumped to the top of my favourite birds list since seeing your captures, Michael…I never thought of owls as cuddly-looking, but these guys are :))

  • Thank you Meg. I have to say I have a soft spot for these little ones. :)
