Vie Calme by James McKenzie
Clear

I wanted to do some shots that some what depic life in normality… meaning images that are like cut scenes from life, without everything being arranged perfectly, well i added the rose, but that was from a vase near by… the lighting was dull but it created a nice effect, the angles where not planned, just taken pretty much as i saw them… Hope u like it!!

Enjoy!!

very moody. interesting shadow on the curtain in the background. and the curtain on the right is out of focus (but on the left it is in focus). well thought out. i think imight have somehow tried to cast some light onto the rose from the front (not really a criticism).

I especially like the second half, the way the curtain is out of focus. The flowers nicely compliment the blurred pattern. Interesting composition, Jay!

I like the mood, nice shot… I agree with porter some light on the rose would have been nice just to be able to see that it’s actually a rose! :)

jay, actually, what would have been wild would have been a small torch behind the rose.
