The mighty ArcelorMittal steel mill, formerly known as Dofasco, stands proud over Burlington Bay. Steel production has been the bread and butter for Hamilton, Ontario for decades, but with the recent swing in the economy, several mills have shut down for an unknown length of time. Dofasco, as it is still called by locals, is still currently producing steel products, but neighboring steel mill, Stelco, owned by US Steel, has been shut down.
