The mermaids have raised their game, they’ve played their winning card.
The temptation too much, the frustration too hard,
The will to carry on has faded into the distance
But please ignore the path of least resistance….
Please take a second look at the mermaids and their pull
Your glass isn’t half empty, you can make it half full.
Have faith in yourself, take a step to the light.
Try hard to see through the darkness of night.
I know life is hard and the voices are strong,
Persuading you to go where they think you belong.
Telling you things that you don’t want to hear,
Feeding your sorrow, fuelling your fear.
One day you will see that angels guide your heart,
And they will take your worries and fears apart,
Spread them all far and wide,
So you can face the world and no longer hide.
Let the mermaids call, look inside your soul
Allow your spirit to make you whole.
Reach out and touch the angels’ wings
Take flight with them and hear them sing.
They will help you face the fear within
Don’t give up the fight they will help you win.
You can be a mermaid and still walk on ground
Just like the angels we see all around.
Be strong for a while and soon you will find
That the beauty inside you isn’t controlled by your mind.
It is powered by your heart, it is powered by your soul
The spirit within you
Is what makes you whole.
