Mind, Body and Spirit

Mind, Body and Spirit

Ok, as some of you know, I’ve had a pretty rough time recently and have taken up ‘mindfulness’. I completely lost my way just before I went away and wanted to use the 2 weeks to refresh my spirit. I took a load of books away with me and one was ‘The Monk who sold his Ferrari’. For those of you who may not know, it’s about an American multi-millionnaire lawyer who breaks down through stress and the pressure of life. He sells up everything and finds peace with the monks in India. He then comes back and shares the 7 virtues of life with others. This book is my bible and I truly believe in it. I’d just finished reading it when we went to Carcassonne. I could feel my soul being mended slowly and knew I’d found my path again. I walked into the medieval city and bumped into a friend from England who I hadn’t seen for quite a while. Weird enough. I then turned a corner and saw this man meditating, doing yoga and balancing crystals with some awesome music playing in the background. He was the book personified and he sent me a real message. This may sound corny but I strongly believe that these things are happening because the time is right and the messages are leading me to where I belong….

Such a fine story of finding or re-finding one’s path, it’s so freaking easy to get derailed, sometimes over and over, but as Alfred says in Batman Begins,” Why do we fall down?” ... :So we can learn to pick ourselves up.”

One of the MOST valuable things about this Red Bubble is the number of people I’ve met who help me remember to center, calm, refresh and realign my spirit, I never would have predicted such a thing in a million years!

Have a splendid holiday, new year looks bright if you look closely, drop by if you haven’t for a holiday greeting from Blue Man!!

(for me the book was Be Here Now, Baba Ram Das)

  • Jaybe replied

Hi Syd….I have a feeling that I’m going to become a huge Blue Man follower….can’t wait to go exploring in your gallery after seeing a glimpse just before. Thank you so much for your comments…and I’ll look for that book….;-)

Best resource for me for old albums or books is Amazon.com! The Blue man numbered images are in order like a story, you’ll see why in the Blue Man calendar!

I maintain a SciFi library of about 300, when they start overflowing onto counters and piling up on the tv, I make some tough decisions and cart a couple dozen to the local library, and everyone’s happy!

    i feel it
    and i believe in that
when we yearn for the truth
and seek it with all our hearts
    all our mind
    and all of our spirit
and we search long enough for the answers
    then one day
    our path becomes illuminated

Wonderful photo and I am guessing that you were meant to be there or you wouldn’t have been! They say that when the student is ready the teacher appears! And there you were but are you the teacher or the student?! A motivational story to go with the motivational photo…. thank you for sharing this….

Wow, an amazing picture and a transformational story.. So many people including myself get caught up in the material things of life, giving up spritual dimensions. I just saw this show on public tv about the evolution of civilazation and man out of Africa and into India and Pakastan and about the culture there. How it was developed and then destroyed.. it was quite interesting. This photo reminds me that there is so much in other cultures we do not understand, and even within each of us, dimensions we rarely touch.. Thanks for sharing it and congradulations on the well deserved feature.

nothing corny, sweetie! ... in life there is no such thing as co-incidence … everything always happens in precisely the right way at precisely the right time because the moment is perfect for that exact occurrence …
paths converge and meetings transpire … because these are the things we chose … yes, we chose what we engage in. We chose fresh, every single moment anew! And even those of us who refuse to chose, are choosing not to chose and so are living their choices too :)
lol … all of life a divining of perfection and experience :)
thank you for the sharing! xoxox
