This lovely bird spent quite a long time in our Hotel Garden in the south-west of the island. Clearly it was digging for insects. But I was delighted when it raised its decorative crest!

    Thank you for your kind comments. I was just amazed that this hoopoe allowed me to get really near it. The only other hoopoe we have ever seen was in France, so this was a treat!
