The shroud

A visit to the asylum (one of many) in which we visited the chapel which is part of the area for the asylum.
Down a dirt track which leads to the chapel, we sat in the car taking in the surroundings before deciding to venture out and walk round this small place.
With just a torch for company, we walked to the doors and a loud bang was heard by the car. We went back and saw a large stone by the wheel.
A bit unnerved, we started to go back to the chapel, but were stopped in our tracks by several stones landing at our feet.
We scoured the bushes for another person, but could not see anyone.
Bravely we started to go back, round the side of the chapel, but we all had a distinct impression of footsteps in front of us. A large stone landed near us, so we took flight back to the car.
I started to take photos from the car, but could not get a clear photo, the pictures were blurry, red.
I kept snapping and each photo appeared red misty, and white misty. I concentrated on the driver and front passenger, all photos were the same, I could make out their faces but they were surrounded by this red glow.
We drove out of the asylum area, with me taking photos constantly, but each was the same.
Down the village they started to clear. Passenger got out of the car and her photo showed outline with red shroud.
Several pictures later, it started to clear, from red to orange to back to normal.

We met up with another member, and he didn’t believe us, examined the camera and tested for heat inside the car etc.
A little bit wary, we went back to the chapel in his car, as soon as we entered the drive I took his photo, he had an angry red glow.
We didn’t get out at this time, he took us back to our car and was very distressed., as all the other photos were normal from then on.

I have no idea why we had this red and white mist around us, the camera functioned perfectly out of the area, and at the asylum later on. The car was not hot nor steamy, the camera wasn’t hot.
It left us feeling very anxious afterwards and we didn’t return for some weeks to the chapel, whereupon everything was normal.
There are about 20 photos in the sequence but I have only uploaded a few, as they are all similar.
As usual, I had checked for atmosphere conditions, smoking etc.
