The Scotland Spooks

A brave trio go ghost hunting

The Scotland Spooks belongs to the following groups:

*Paranormal The Norm* (*MUST* have description & *ONLY 2* per day

A spur of the moment spooky investigation after a 6 hour drive delivering a package to Livingstone where a member of our spooky group originates from.

We went to Bangour Village, which was a mental institution and WW1 hospital. Not just a few houses but in fact a village.
It has been shut for a few years, all boarded up (the Scots sure know how to board these places!), dark, eerie and like village of the damned.
We drove around the front, but a security man was in the small cottage, so we drove to the rear.

There were no gates just a road with a pile of muck in the driveway. We parked up and scrambled over the mud. The road was boundried by trees, thick ones, and a field on one side. It was dark, slightly uphill, and eerily quiet. The road and bushes screamed out scary…. Just the Three of us, none of whom had thought to bring a torch! We walked, tightly huddled, constantly looking around and getting very tense the further we went.

We came upon the first house, tall, dark and imposing. All three of us started to feel nauseas and each had a headache.
We carried on walking until we got to buildings, white ones. By heck they were scary. I didn’t really want to go any further ( I sure wasn’t going back alone though!) but we crept forward. Noises… weird ones…and shadows… we turned back, trying to work out what the noises were. Kind of like an owl, but not.. I tried to convince everyone it was a bird, but we knew it wasn’t.
We were walking faster by now, down the hill, adrenalin making us pant. By the time we reached the car we were running.

Not finished, we followed the road the other way to see more houses, each scary and dark, although these had street lights so it felt better.
I was keeping a watchful eye on the white buildings and big house, as I did not like them and felt as though we were being watched.
My heart was pounding and my mouth dry, but I remained glued to the other two.

As we couldn’t get in to any of the building (as if we would have!) we went back to the car and drove to the front of the hospital.
We decided to approach security with the reason that I love old buildings and taking photos (at nearly midnight lol)
He was obliging and said we could walk around although the village is 4 miles square. He told us one house was boarded up with all furniture inside, many bad things had happened in there and staff had refused to work there, so it was shut as it was and left, abandoned…..

We walked off, feeling better knowing we had permission and there were some lights along the first part of the road, but not many. Bus-stops were along the road, empty, dank and smelly, I wouldn’t want to wait here for a bus! (although it’s all closed now, but even so….)

We approached The chapel; it was tall and dark. I took a photo (I hadn’t taken many until here as I was too ruddy scared!) a huge mist right in front of us! It was a clear night with not even our breath showing.
We walked down a steep hill, where we came upon a very well boarded up house (it was boarded with bricks flush to the wall). This was THE house…..

We walked around it, linked arms and taking pictures. Every picture I took had weird lights, and seemed to following us. They were like streamers, making shapes in the dark.
Left here, down a dark road, Joe screamed and panicked. Something had stroked his arm and back, he was very scared. I took a photo of where he had been and there was an orb just where Joe had been standing.

By this time, we were pumped full of adrenalin and very edgy. Eventually we got back to security, where he told us a bit of history.
We asked about the rear of the village (hoping he would drive us round) he said the big house was the mortuary…. We looked at each other and thought, if we had known we would not have gone there first! It was where we all felt sick….

After this we needed to leave, and go to another worn out, abandoned place, for which we were all slightly relieved!
