Our plan was to visit the Cathedral Peak and Little Cathedral Peak, so we never actually set out along the Ridge Track (which would give one a stunning view of the highly photogenic Razorback from surrounding Jawbone and Sugarloaf peaks)… that’s something to do for us to do another day.
However, this view was captured from a rocky outcrop alongside the start of the Ridge Track, just near where the Autumn Afternoon at Cathedral Ranges image was taken. I particularly liked the juxtaposition of the sheer cliff in the foreground against the flats of the surrounding countryside in the middle ground, which are once again bounded by the mountains of the Yarra Valley in the distant background.
