Artist's Description

Also from this shoot:

Truth be told, I intended to take some ‘dodgy’ photos at The Dell to illustrate why some of the so-called ‘rules’ of landscape photography work. Here, I walked away from the derelict pier to illustrate why ‘getting up close and personal’ works so much better. When I looked at the image in my digital darkroom (lightroom?), however, I really liked the different layers of colours dotted with the posts just beneath the horizon. I also liked how the You Yangs happened to sit perfectly on top of the far end of the ruin – purely by chance, I might add!

  4. Hoya PRO1D CPL filter
