As the sun continued its ascent above the horizon, these little puffy clouds seem to gather above the pier, while the reflection and shadows underneath the pier really lit up the water in the foreground. I loved how the long exposure showed movement in the clouds, giving the whole scene a more dramatic feel.

I couldn’t choose which of the two sunrise shots to publish – the colours in the other were a bit more vibrant, but the overall feel of this one did grab me more. Which do you prefer?
