After shooting Agnes Falls, I drove up the Strzelecki Ranges’ Grand Ridge Road (which was very much like rally car driving after the heavy rain – fun!) to Tarra-Bulga National Park… and immediately fell in love with the place (pity it’s so far from home). I had the Tarra Valley area to myself, and really enjoyed the serenity (that was occasionally interrupted by the call of the Lyrebirds that inhabit the area) beneath the rainforest canopy.

Despite capturing a vast number of photos of the beautiful Tarra River and its stunning Cyathea Falls and Tarra Falls (the latter being far more exciting than Agnes Falls in my opinion), the high contrast lighting saw me come home with only one workable image of this natural archway of trees over the walking path.

I’ll certainly be heading back out here to rectify this in the near future… stay tuned for shots of the falls and river through the Tarra Valley!

I really like the way that hdr has picked up and enhanced the green detail on the trunks. Great shot Jason.
