Another sleepless night saw me hit the road bright and early after checking the weather forecast and noticing that Lake Eildon expected ‘early frost’ followed by a ‘fine day’… I was hoping that meant fog, and was not disappointed upon arrival.

Being a long weekend, this area was incredibly busy despite the early hour and <1 degree temperature! I really enjoyed watching people launching their boats, and the boats then disappearing into the pea soup, as I waited for some of the longer bracketed exposures to finish. I only wish I could have achieved a fast enough exposure to capture the scene with the disappearing boats!

Gorgeous and I love the blue. Great capture

  • Thanks for your kind comment… I think it was the gradient between the foreground and background colours that captured my interest in this image.
