Little River #2 by Jason Green

Posters

This photo was taken from exactly the same spot as Little River #1 after swivelling the camera around on the tripod.

This is a fantastic example of what a CPL filter can do (in my humble opinion): the reflections on the surface of the water prevented the naked eye from seeing the rocks underneath, but the circular polarizer cut through those reflections and made them visible!

This photograph can be purchased as a print in a range of sizes and styles, from postcards to posters, by clicking the button below:

  5. Hoya NDX400 filter
  6. Hoya PRO1D CPL filter

Fantastic image Jason. I love the light on the water, which looks almost like shiny plastic.

Thank you for sharing your artwork with the Photomatix HDR Group!

  • Phew! I was really worried about how that light on the water might be received… so thanks, Clive! :)

    beautiful shot Jason!
CPL can really MAKE shots like this.you used it well and the shot is totally outstanding!

  • Thanks, Davide… and you’re right, the CPL filter really opens a whole new world for photographers… it gives us the ability to show the reality of a world that is otherwise hidden to the human eye.
