Night at Tenby Point by Jason Green

Currently unavailable for purchase

As I wandered back through the rocks towards the car well after the sun had set, I noticed the shimmering reflection of the bright moon on the water… as I marvelled at the moon’s reflection, this whole composition appeared to me right where I was standing. Despite being tired and starving, I just had to setup the tripod and camera again to get one last shot. I’m thankful that I did!

Coincidentally, I was surprised to see how quickly the tide was coming in at Tenby Point… when I started this exposure, the water was just starting to lap at those rocks in the foreground; when the exposure finished a couple of minutes later, the rocks were well and truly in the sea, and the water was starting to deepen around the feet of my tripod!

Stunning work Jason! Love the composition and the subtle colours :)

Could you please advise where your images were shot so I can admit them into the gippsland group please :)

  • Thanks for your kind words, Alex. As noted in the title and description, the shots were taken at Tenby Point (near Corinella, off the Bass Highway a little before the turnoff to Philip Island).
