Dawn at Point Lonsdale #2 by Jason Green

This is a prime example of just how creative Photomatix Pro’s default settings can be sometimes… I cannot for the life of me see how Photomatix got these vivid colours out of the three original captures, all of which looked to be predominantly blue with a warm glow on the horizon over to the left.

That said, who am I to argue with Photomatix? ;-)

  3. 3.2 seconds @ f/11 (ISO100)
  4. Hoya PRO1D Circular PL filter
  5. Cokin P121S + P121M filters
  6. Manfrotto 190XB tripod with 804RC2 head
  7. HDR generated from 3 exposures (0, +/-1ev) using Photomatix Pro
  8. Corrections and enhancements applied using Photoshop CS4 with Topaz Adjust 4 and Imagenomic Noiseware Professional plug-ins

    cool colours nice image and wow it would take me a month of mondeys to add all them tags

  • LOL :) Lightroom makes it very easy to go overboard with tags… especially when you use thesaurus.com to find synonyms ;)
