This second photo from my trip to The Dell at Clifton Springs is at about the time of the sunset, shortly before that dramatic evening cloudscape gave way to a fairly boring sky that was filled with solid gray blobs here and there.
I had been looking for the moment that the left sides of the wooden posts would glow a reddy, brown colour thanks to the setting sun, but it never came! Not to worry… upon returning home and transferring the images to my computer, I was happy enough to see the vibrant range of colours reflected on the surface of the water, as well as the high key reflections on the sides of the rocks in the foreground.
I was also chuffed to see the You Yangs show up on the horizon, as I had not expected as much given the haze that seemed to be present at the time.
