After shooting the Queen Victoria Statues I decided to take a quick detour via Kings Domain on my way back to the car, wondering if there might be an opportunity to shoot the Sidney Myer Music Bowl beneath the night’s moody, cloudy sky. Much to my amazement and delight, all the gates around the music bowl were open, and there was nobody around!
I spent the rest of the night (nearly… I didn’t quite make it through to dawn before I started to feel tired and needed to drive home) shooting this amazing structure from various different angles. Of the hundreds of photos that I took here, I am proud to present two for your enjoyment. As for wanting to get a shot of the music bowl beneath the moody sky… mission accomplished!
The technical details for those who are interested: HDR generated from three exposures (+/-2ev) using Photomatix Pro and then corrected/enhanced using Lightroom, Photoshop and Topaz Adjust.
