Another photograph inspired by a challenge in the Mood & Ambi(e)nce group… this time, the Tunnels challenge.

I had been wanting to shoot the controversial Eastlink tunnels for some time, thinking they would provide a great basis for some HDR work, with some cool motion blur of headlights/taillights on the side. The Tunnels challenge finally made me get out there and do it… and I’m glad that I did :)

Post-processing details for those who might be interested: HDR generated from three exposures (+/-1ev) using Photomatix Pro; further corrected and enhanced using Lightroom, Photoshop and Topaz Adjust.

As with many of my photographs, I have published both a full-colour version, as well as a black-and-white version of this image. If you prefer black-and-white photography, you may like to check out Night at Melba Tunnel in Sepia
