I had the pleasure of going to Plaza El Agua (Water Plaza), it sits right next to the Macagua hydroelectric dam and the Caroni Eco-Museum in Bolivar state, Venezuela. Families often come to the park and play with their children in the open fields, I came to catch the last golden rays of the sun as they are caught and reflected/refracted by the water fountains.
I met some great photographers from the city who had come to talk and shoot a few frames.
For me, who likes landscape photography, I usually include the human element with structures, but not the people themselves (I love slow shutter speeds and that doesn’t go well with photographing people), so it was difficult to compose, frame and shoot the angles I wanted without having someone walk into the frame. Still I had a blast and went home with some great images.
