Two things grabbed me about this shot
1. The vibrant red background of the Melbourne Comedy Festival sign, and;
2. The irony of an old digger standing, looking very serious in front of a comedy festival sign.

Taken on Anzac Day, 2009.

More shots and a slideshow from Anzac day on my blog

I appreciate you taking time to view my work, and I really enjoy reading your comments.

    He might be at ease in terms of stance, but he doesn’t look at ease at all! Great juxtaposition shot Jared.

    I just came across your series of Anzac pix from 2009, they are wonderful… keep up the good work Jared!

  • thanks Barbie, I have just got home from the 2010 parade.
    There was a terrible accident towards the end, I think an armored truck lost control and hit about 6 people in the march.
