As the sun quickly descends to the horizon at Werribee River, it contributes to some last amazing colours only for a brief moment in time, as the trees aged roots on the cliffs long for a drop of water.

For a 1.6 sec exposure, how still is the water? Great capture of the moment. Love it how the red clouds are in the reflection. Well done Jared!

  • thanks Drew :-)
It was so still there, I think any exp would have worked.

    Werribee rarely looks this remote.

  • this is past the mansion and golf course.
A few people were on the river fishing – I was hesitant to wonder too far because of the snakes.

It is a spot I have tried to photograph without success – unlike you. GREAT photo!

  • thanks Neil !
I had lots of different angles, possibly some better, it was hard to decide which one, but this one also was at the exact right moment of the day when the light and clouds said to me – this is the one !
