Moomba 2011
As March kicks in, Melbourne comes alive with so many events.
Moomba, Australia’s largest free community festival celebrates Melbourne’s people culture and its most beloved characteristics. The Moomba Parade, a Melbourne tradition, returned in 2011 with another colourful and energetic display.
The floats this year were a celebration of the city’s bold and colourful character …

Moomba 2010 - Event & Festival Photography

Those of you out there watching and viewing my work, I would love to hear from you… :-)

Moomba
Australia’s largest free community festival celebrates Melbourne’s people culture and its most beloved characteristics. The Moomba Parade, a Melbourne tradition, returned in 2010 with another colourful and energetic display.

Spectacular floats with more than 1,400 community members taking part, the theme of this year’s Parade was “Moomba is Melbourne and Melbourne is an eventful city”. Floats celebrated everything Melbourne is famous for; its people, its sport, its art, its food and wine – even its weather.

This is a copy of a post from my Blog, and if you’ve got a few minutes, check out the full slideshow to see photos from the whole event

Pako Festa 2010 - Event & Festival Photography

The Pako Festa is the largest free multicultural event in Australia, held in Geelong. Attracting thousands of people, the event has a parade, performances, cultural food, workshops, art and craft exhibitions, street performers and a range of free activities for children.

This year, I only had enough time to photograph the parade…

ANZAC Day March - 2009 Album

Today I photographed the ANZAC Day march in Melbourne.

I had a rollercoaster of feelings watching the ol’ diggers march down St Kilda Rd.

I felt so proud to be an Australian, with a massive crowd there to cheer them on, and have so much respect and admiration for what the diggers did for us, lest we forget them.

Click here or on the image below to go to my blog for more photos, hope you enjoy them.

Weerama Festival 2009 - Photo Albums

Hi Everyone,

Last weekend (Sunday 29th March), I photographed the Weerama Festival held in Watton St, Werribee with Neil, Lee, Di, Kathryn and Belinda. Weerama consists of colourful multicultural groups, community floats, street performers, local schools and roving entertainers, celebrating the multiculturalism of the city of Wyndham.

After listening to feedback on how I can improve the albums for everyone, I’ve split these up into 3 albums, Parade, People and Performers so there are not too many images to load, hope this helps.

Click on the image links below if you’re interested in checking them out.
