    ...i know….i was lucky to be there at that time…it was amazing, but only lasted about 1 min at this intensity.

    I know what you mean about finding those trees.
    this is a much photographed tree in, but not sure if there are many in silhouette against the blood red sky ~ that’s what I loved about this one.

    Fortunately I have know seen the map so I know where this now recognisable place is. That’s an absolute beauty of a flamed filled sky and the strong silhouettes of the foreground with the tiniest and subtlest splash of light in it works the better than having lots of detail. I like how you’ve composed it with the tree mainly balanced in the red and almost pointing towards the outstretched red part of the cloud to the right.

    What a finale to your series Jared. Congratulations.
    That red sky almost seems as though emanating from that twisted blackened tree (the hands of the condemned perhaps and blood red from the suffering) I love the silhouette created and sliver of space where the clouds have parted slightly in the distance which seem to suggest salvation which is too far out of reach – the light which recedes along with it, forever damning this place.
