Rock Walker

As the day drew to a close while walking on the rock shelves at the Bay of Islands the beautiful green sea grass and distant cliffs on land glowed for us.

Public access to this beach has been closed due to unstable cliffs and access is quite dangerous, so if you do plan on visiting please be very careful. The lookout is still easily accessible.

Incredible lighting – and I can see why you particularly mentioned the glow. It’s that background gorgeously lit rock that keeps catching my eye and then I see the little (from this distance) wave below it. The light across the whole scene is superb too, catching all the textures and the water swirls around superbly.

And I must add how lucky you are. You can wear shots and not matter if your legs get a tad wet! Most of my beach shots are taken with the temperature below 5 degrees celcius (yes – that temperature does exist outside of your fridge!)

Knew you’d pick up on the wave too, i liked that addition to this photo too.
..it’s finally started to warm up here, so I didn’t mind getting wet…but 5 degrees below sounds a bit cold to be out there in shorts… brrrrrrr
