Yes, even with the camera’s “raincoat”, that D70 gets to endure the tough weather. Well, except for last weekend, but we really didn’t expect snow and fog in the mountains. (Some of us didn’t drop our D70s in a creek – was it a creek?)

Hi Bean. Yes, some sort of pine – I’d never seen a purple cone, either. Perhaps affected by the wind and altitude? Thanks for your kind comment.
