A Redpoll! Oh my goodness I have some of those here! They’re “summering” down here in NH and basking in the … well… “winter” sun! They are gorgeous and fun little birds – seems to have made friends with the goldfinches. This is an excellent shot showing all of it’s wonderful features and in it’s natural habitat – I love it!

This is soooooo beautiful, Jan! I have to tell ya that I saw it the other day… had a bunch of pics all lined up to comment on and poof! The heavy snowfall took out our communications! I went away mumbling about how we NEVER get these gorgeous beauties around here! Well… I guess you’ve seen that on the next high winds we had… in blew a whole feeder-full of ‘em!! I’ve been busy between snowfalls since! I have one on a spruce tree too… thinking of uploading it but of course it’s not nearly as good as yours! You’ve inspired me to get out there and try to capture these little guys! AND… you must’ve sent them to me! ;) You’ve captured this one so very well! Congratulations on your well-deserved feature!! :))))
