Bird Bath

Bird Bath

Taken in my back yard in Southern Ontario, this common sparrow knew enough to diffuse the water by putting his foot on the spout of my fountain so he could take a shower. I thought it was a fine example of a creature’s creation. Canon rebel xt with canon 70-200 zoom.

Bird Bath belongs to the following groups:

Birds and Creatures of Flight, Bubblettes, Canon DSLR (One Image Per Day & A Canon Camera Must Be In The Description Before It's Accepted), IPA -International Photographers Alliance and The Birds Available for sale as

  • Charlie08

    Charlie08

Ok now that is quite amazing, smart little one! What a cool capture Jan

  • Jan Piller replied

Hi Charlotte! Thanks for stoppin by – yah silly little things aren’t they. We turn the water down as far as we can but they still need to diffuse it with their little bird feet. But they don’t mind – the water gets quite warn in the sunshine so when it gets cool in the evening, that’s when theylike to come by and splash around in the warm water. I notice the same thing with our northern lakes – they’re wonderful to swim in in the evening.
