Twisted Tales Star twister 44- Candy
Olive's favorite belongs to the following groups:
Twisted Tales, WMG and Writers EdgeOlive was different, beautiful, charming and evil. As a small child she liked to kill bugs, squashing them in her hands she’d squeal with laughter. Her three older brothers loved to torture her, locking her in dark rooms and putting worms in her bed. Eventually she reciprocated their pranks ten fold and they became terrified of her.
When Olive was about eight, she had found a large toad in the yard. Her Mother was making spaghetti for dinner; and as the sauce boiled and bubbled, Olive plopped the toad right in. Her Mother was horrified as sauce splashed all over the kitchen and poor creature burst before their eyes. Olive just laughed as she was punished and sent to her room.
The Fifth grade bake sale was a disaster. With so many baked goods being sold, it was impossible to tell which ones made everyone violently ill. Only Olive knew about the boxes of chocolate laxatives in her double fudge brownies.
People were always getting sick and small animals wound up injured when Olive was around.
At twenty-five she married a older wealthy man, She convinced him that she would make a wonderful wife and mother to his six year old daughter. After five miserable months of marriage she hatched a plan.
She began making her husband “special” tea every morning. She would chant, “Just a few drops a day and soon he’ll be gone away”. One morning she thought she caught his daughter watching her. She dismissed it thinking the child was too young, too stupid.
Olive’s husband died within weeks from the gradual poisoning. She sent his child away and lived quite comfortably for many years.
Surprised to hear from her stepdaughter after so many years, Olive reluctantly agreed to a reunion. Upon her arrival beautiful sandwiches and iced tea were already prepared. Instinct told her to be weary but the lunch was delightful and she disregarded her foolish thoughts.
Before leaving, she noticed a bowl of gumdrops and casually popped several in her mouth. “Here, have more, I know it’s your favorite candy”.
Olive almost made it home that day.

Haa… oops. I can’t resist gum drops either, but now I’ll think twice. Olive sounds like a little devil.

I sure wouldn’t want her living at my house! Thanks for reading Zolton. :) SZ

Nasty little Olive. I like the name you gave her. This sounds the like start of a good old fashioned crime story, and part of something larger. Well done Solar.
Solar Zorra replied
Thanks Anya, the name Olive seems associated with the word drab, I liked the contrast, this Olive is horrible but certainly not drab. :) SZ

What does that little blue question mark do? Here I found you a really good guy For the Love of Irene. I hope you like it, he’s my best male character yet. :) SZ

Oh, that Olive! She seemed very real—guess her stepdaughter wasn’t so stupid, after all! Really enjoyed this.
