Artist's Description

A Blue Jay jumping off a tree, I’ve always wondered if birds open their wings at the time of the jump, or a split second later. This image proves that birds don’t open their wings immediately at the time of jump.

Photo shot by the Ottawa River, in Nepean, Ontario, Canada, using a canon Eos 30D & 100-400 iS lens, Handheld.
