A very tame Groundhog (Marmota monax) surrounded with small flies, holding a piece of carrot, which they love. When Groundhogs eat outside of their hole, they usually stand on two feet! Image shot near the Ottawa River, Nepean, Ontario, Canada.

Eos 350D, EF 70-200 f/4 lens, hand-held

Sharp shot Janika. Is he in your yard? I love these guys. They go crazy for zucchini. LOL

  • Lee-Anne This guy lives in a park, near the river and it’s an older guy, The younger ones are not as tame and harder to approach. Thanks for looking, eh! :)
