A photography enthusiast since childhood, Jane always had a little camera and hung around the dark rooms at La Trobe University.
Then, photography faded to the background as marriage, children and travel took priority, but after two close friends (who were flat mates at the time) took up studying photography, Jane began to learn more and eventually moved into the world of DSLRs.
Since 2009, Jane has been asked to do work for various events and weddings, preceding her decision in 2012 to take her photography full time in her home town of Yackandandah, in North East Victoria.

“For me, photography is more about capturing a feeling, rather than an event. It surprises many because I LOVE event photography haha, but the mood, emotion, feeling of the event is the most challenging part to try to convey through a still shot and so that is what I strive for.

I predominantly use Lightroom for processing, but will occasionally dabble in Photoshop. I do like the photographs of old and so I try not to venture too far from the original image."
