Looking up from the courtyard of the Museum of American Art in Washington DC.

Hi, I’m Jan. I have been playing around with cameras since I was a child, starting with a Brownie given to me by my grandfather. I am still playing around with cameras—photography expands and frames my everyday world. When I look at an apparently boring scene as if each part could be framed by a camera, there is always something unexpectedly interesting or beautiful to be found.

This is a great abstract. Love all the lines and if yhou look at the lower part it sometimes looks like raised square buttons. COOL!!!

  • Thanks for pointing out the optical illusion Carol. I had to sit and look at it a minute before I could see the ‘buttons.’ It does look sorta like one of those curved keyboards doesn’t it? I hadn’t noticed that.

Wonderful abstract, if you stare at it a while the bottom squares seem to push outwards, I agree it is like an optical illusion.
