Emily and Katie are identical twins. Looking exactly the same means their friends sometimes get them muddled up.
The twins love playing tricks on people and giggle when no-one knows who they are.
Mum and Dad never make a mistake.
Today is special. It is the twins’ birthday. They turn six years old. Emily and Katie are allowed to invite six friends to their party. Most of their relatives live too far away to come, but their Nana and Poppy will be there.
Mum has been cooking all day. There are cakes, sandwiches with all sorts of fillings, sausage rolls, party pies and a big pot of tomato soup with hot crusty bread rolls. The table is decorated with a colorful tablecloth, party hats, lolly bags, balloons, sparkles and gifts.
Emily and Katie prepare a special place for Scruffy, their little black dog. Scruffy seems a good name for him since his fur is long and curly, and his floppy ears sometimes cover his big brown eyes. Scruffy was only a puppy when the girls got him.

I began writing stories some time ago, having worked with children from different walks of life.
This yet to be published book is still in the early stages of production.
A fantastic artist I have made contact with, Birgit Schulz is working on the illustrations: I find her work amazing. We have never met: but one does not need to see, one only needs to have the same dedication, hopes and aspirations to follow their dreams and passions. Feel free to drop by and view our front cover:
