My Ancestor`s

My Ancestor`s

The My Ancestor`s photo was taken in South Carolina and retouched. The time period is World War 1. This a Lusk family gathering. (Their ancestors arrived in The New World on a land grant from King George.) They distinguished themselves in the Revolutionary War, The Northern Invasion (The Civil War), WW1, WW2, and on. My Grandfather joined the Navy during this time and found he did not like it at all. He did cross in his ship past The Southern Meridian which is considered to be an honor among our Navy Forces. He came home to South Carolina and began farming on his land. I am a Daughter of the American Revolution.

My Ancestor`s belongs to the following groups:

Days Gone By (Photographs must be twenty years or older and include people please) and Safe Haven Available for sale as

Greeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints, Framed Prints and Posters

Wonderful old photograph Janet, but we need some narative to give it some context.

  • Janet Ellen Lusk replied

    Tom,
Usually I add the narrative after downloading photo`s. Saves me time if I want to delete it. Thanks for you comment…it is well appreciated. Take another look and you should find the narrative.

    Wondrful family history …

  • Janet Ellen Lusk replied

Thanks Tom..it is wonderful and I am proud of them. We have a fairly large collection of family bibles, family wills etc. One will from the civil war had a soldier leaving his wife a broken bottle, the loom she weaved with and such. Women were not allowed to have their own possessions back then.
