“Held In Darkness” a tribute surrounding the shooting at our high school experienced on Jan 5, 2011 @ MSHS.
Dedicated to the memory of our administrator Dr. Victoria Kaspar and the shooter, Robert Butler who arrived as a transfer student only one month earlier.
Our building was on lock-down for over 2 hours, I was with a group of 22 amazing drawing students, huddled on the floor, in the dark, no radio, no TV.
It was a day we will never forget.
We are trying to heal.

Fantastic work. To create something positive out of such a terrifying experience would, I imagine, positively influence the healing process.
Cheers.
I am hoping so… thank you my friend! :)

This is Brilliant work Janelle. I am so sorry that you have had to go through this dreadful experience. However, I admire the fact that you have been able to express yourself with this amazing drawing. I send you my best wishes and say, keep drawing as I know self expression is so very important. Cathy.
Drawing = breathing. Vital to living and one’s existence in this world. Thanks Cathy!
