Magic
I wrote this about 11 years ago for a favourite aunt’s 50th birthday. Life is wonderful and sometimes in the rush and hurry of our everyday world we lose sight of that and it’s when you slow down and re-look at what’s around you that you can sometimes see afresh and feel revitalised.

Can you see?
The wonderful land that is, should you wish it to be.
All proportioned right,
Balanced and in harmony with natures might.
Allowing you to forget the traffic fencing you in.
To feel at one the land,
That your feet are planted in.
To curl up closer to the warmth of a noon-day sun.
To unfold your eyes and let it all come.
Looking only for simple things,
For it’s in life’s simplicity that joy reigns king.
