There had been a freezing fog overnight and everything was coated with a delicate layer of rime. The fog was still present and gave the picture a soft grey background.

I have lived in Blaenau Gwent for 24 years and have taken many photographs of the scenery in South Wales over the last nine, since I started using a digital camera. Before that I had used a film camera since 1972, taking slides on holiday and at weekends in Devon and Cornwall.

    This is beautiful!…Love the depth and subtle colors. Did you take any more photos that day in that vicinity….would love to see more!

  • Thank you very much for your comments. Yes, I did take some others that day and two of them are in my portfolio (‘Freezing fog in Clydach Gorge’ and ‘Frosty trees’). I’ll see if there are a couple more I can add soon.
