This is about physical, emotional, mental, and political abuse, and trying to find peace of mind through it all. It is also about being kept in a cage, and the losses this causes, such as, in the last lines of this work, lost love.

it became very hard for her to unwind
because some of them were very, very unkind
her contract with the devil was still unsigned
no matter, for their games and lies kept her in endless rewind
her insides felt like a shark had dined
leaving her flesh torn-up and bones to grind
hence, it became harder and harder for her to find
any kind of peace of mind
she was always in some sort of bind
her face was starting to be lined
her problem was very, very strongly defined
she was being confined
for so long she was blind
then their bodies intertwined
for him, over and over again she pined
she felt sad to be declined
she wished for him to find
her in his dreams, as undefined
she wood dent stop dreaming, she was so inclined
but she resigned herself knowingly to the predesigned
to the reality of being forever maligned
