they waited too long

she kept telling them something was wrong
she told them almost everyday
she grew tired of telling them
because the next day they would pretend they didn’t know
something was wrong

God had only given her her allotted time
just like everyone else
the people who couldn’t, or wouldn’t acknowledge something was wrong
were draining her time from her, sucking, like a huge vampire that she couldn’t …remove
she saw her blood leaving, her strength ebbing, and the vampire’s strengths -
gained new power to inflict pain, punish and control

he came for his last meal
she told him she didn’t want to die
he didn’t care, he was hungry and he needed to feed his evil hatred, and base needs for -- her life’s blood
to shake her very soul by draining the last of her blood energy, to try to drain her soul —as well
this was the ultimate final struggle between them
he had overpowered her with his brute strength and power of seduction
he had stolen, taken, her life’s force, her blood, the vital liquid that ebbed through her -
but the final conquest, victory was her soul
if the devil did not win her soul while draining her life, and keeping her enchanted on a slave chain – then her death and the victory of her stolen blood meant nothing—-
he needed her soul

she fought a hard and ferocious battle, she submitted to him because she had too, she watched him take her precious blood, but she held onto her soul hard, however she felt she was losing, as if somehow her blood and soul were connected, without one the other died…one fed the other, if he took her life’s force and made her weak, could he in the end win her soul, and what of her sanity…to be slowly drained of life until you could not live anymore…

he took his last meal
she felt him take her life
he took a little part of her soul as well, but she held fast to the concept of purity,
purity not of the body, not of the mind, but of the soul…
in the essence of the spirit are thoughts of a higher order, thoughts that will lead us to eternal life with he who is good, not base in needs or evil in deeds
with no need to take (steal), control, overpower, destroy, overwhelm, rape, suffocate, or harm…her soul went with him, he who is good,

the devil took her life, but God took her soul

Artist's Description

This is really a story about spirituality. It is about battles, struggles between good and evil. It is saying that more often than not, bad wins down here on earth, but that if you have faith, and hold onto your spirit (soul) steadfast…good will always win in God eyes!
