I had to shorten it for the print to: GRIDLOCKS AND IRON BARS
This is a self portrait which seeks to depict the endless cage I am being kept in because of politics. The lines represent prison bars and the blocks of color represent other forms of torture, emotional, spiritual, mental, physical, and financial to name a few. I went to France to try to escape the torture of my homeland, America, that is why I am wearing a beret in this painting. This is what I looked like when I was in France.
