Profile
My wife and I live in Reno, NV (USA) where I was born and raised. We both have ‘day’ jobs, she works as a Technician in the Surgery Department of a local hospital and I’m a Professional Firefighter by trade, serving as a Captain with a local municipal department with 14 years on the job. We love the Reno area and, along with our large blended family, very much enjoy all it has to offer.
My long suppressed passion for photography has finally found it’s time to come to the forefront, after many years of taking a back seat to family, career, and a multitude of other hobbies we now finally have a small photography business on the side.
We are self-taught, my wife and I have won several awards and competetions, have been featured in 7 gallery shows locally including an 8 week solo show at the McKinley Gallery last summer. Our works were recently featured in the Courthouse Gallery in Yerington (“Cold, Cool Water of Nevada ), Walden’s Coffeehouse, and Red Rock Studios, and we have been frequent exhibitors at Artown every July in Reno.
One of the most wonderful aspects of photography is that it is an art form that nearly everyone can relate to, because nearly everyone takes pictures (how many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? – 50, 1 to change the light bulb and 49 to stand there and say “I could do that”).
We are constantly amazed and inspired by the work that the photography community does these days, and are delighted when we are told that we have inspired one of our peers. It is a wonderful thing when you can share a piece of beauty or wonder that you have seen / captured with another human. We hope you enjoy our contribution to this effort, and would be very honored should you choose one of our pieces to have in your home.
