142 meters tall, the cathedral of Strasbourg is the 6th highest church in the world. The site existed since the late 4th or early 5th century, but the current structure was created between 1176 and 1439. Described by Victor Hugo as a “gigantic and delicate marvel,” this church is considered one of the finest examples of high Gothic architecture.
