It was a blustery March morning as I wandered the streets of the Island of Burano, in the Venetian lagoon, when I heard the animated conversation of these men. To hear their laugher, excitement, and joie de vivre is to hear the voices of much younger men. Imagine my surprise to find three elderly gentlemen balancing on canes as the wind swept their silver hair. Their spirits had not aged a bit.
