Balquhidder is the burial site of Rob Roy, a legendary Scottish folk hero. It is also home to one of the finest views in Scotland especially when drapped in autumnal colours. Captured from an old Clan MacLaren meeting place, ‘Creag an Tuirc’ or The Boar’s Rock the view extends over the village along Loch Voil and the towering Balquhidder Braes.

About James Paul

I’m a landscape photographer from Northallerton, North Yorkshire who loves the challenge of being in the right place at the right time with my camera. It doesn’t matter if I have to get up a mountain or wade into a river and it doesn’t matter if it is in the North Yorkshire Moors, a few miles from my home or in the Wilderness of the Scottish Highlands i’ll give it a go.
