Some of my favorite Boulder art are those pieces that illustrate the spaces between the boulders. There are places in the Dragoon Mountains of southeast Arizona where huge boulders have naturally been lined up in rows… where one can often walk between them, sometimes having to duck down, others to squeeze sideways. Yet, it’s a fascinating experience to be embraced, so to speak, by these great colorful immoveable objects.
Drawn with my Rapidograph pens and illustrator colored markers on a 5 × 8 " plain index card.

A persona who has apparently lived a relatively long, varied and eclectic life. My Red Bubble portfolios reflect my seeming persona… and IF there’s any veracity to these reflections then some sense of HUMOUR and enjoyment should be PRESENT!

    like your boulder spaces James

  • me too… I have a few more of these to load… I love the sun and shadow play… like being in a natural formed room… with windows and a rocky roof.
It was impossible for me when actually there… and in seeing these now… to not think of the Native American Indians who played and lived among these rock formations!
    thanks ;-)))
