I discovered a three ring binder that had ‘copies’ of many of the pen and ink works that I produced for an art show at De Grazia Little Gallery in January 1997. It was a shared show with stone sculptress Adele deSimone of Manhattan, that was titled ‘Metaphors In Stone’. I contributed about 60 small 5 × 8 inch pen, ink and illustrator marker drawings on index cards of the Boulders of the Dragoon Mountains. Adele had eighteen small to large contemporary stone sculptures in marble, limestone, and granite.

The show ran for two weeks and attendance was good and we each sold some of our works. I subtitled much of my work ‘The Pornographic Boulders of the Dragoon Mountains’; so as you peruse this portfolio allow your imaginations to run.

There’s about fifty pieces that I’ve scanned in from colored copies I made before the show. Many I’ve not seen since then because they’ve been lost and forgotten at the bottom of a file box. I’ll load a few each day when I do load new work and attempt to show the variety of the work.

This work is primarily illustrator markers which was my first experience experimenting with them.

A persona who has apparently lived a relatively long, varied and eclectic life. My Red Bubble portfolios reflect my seeming persona… and IF there’s any veracity to these reflections then some sense of HUMOUR and enjoyment should be PRESENT!
‘Ola!’ ;~}}}

    Ooooo!!!!! so cool!!!!!

  • ;~}}}}}}}}}}}} thanks… and this drawing was with ‘illustrator markers’… I don’t know if you’ve ever used these, but the have a solvent base to them… and if used in a less than well ventilated space can send one higher than the stars. I did many drawing of this type at night on chilly evenings huddled in front of a wood burning stove… it took a few nights like that to figure out why some of the work looked so strange and bizarre in the morning!!! Hahahaaa
