A Thai Buddhist temple… or Wat… is a riot of decoration and color. Inside a Wat there is an alter with usually one primary Buddha statue and then many others and often statues of Buddhist monks. The decor inside is rich and varied, usually accented in gold.
A pen and ink sketch drawn in my well traveled Canson 5.5″ × 8.5″ sketchbook.
I’ve loaded this shortly after I loaded a drawing I made at St. Peters in Rome from years before. As in that sketch I show the heads of the worshipers in the foreground as kinda scribbled figures.
Drawn in my Canson 5×8″ sketchbook with pen and ink… and loaded into RB late in the night along with other prepared sketches while traveling away from my home computer.

By CLICKING ON the 1rst TAG (jlh designs) it’ll take you to a large collection of James’ ART from all his Red Bubble sites. ;-)))

A persona who has apparently lived a relatively long, varied and eclectic life. My Red Bubble portfolios reflect my seeming persona… and IF there’s any veracity to these reflections then some sense of HUMOUR and enjoyment should be PRESENT!

have you ever considered colouring your sketches on the PC once you’ve scanned them? I’ve seen a few artists on here do it to great effect! ;o)

budda by buddah jim-nice quick drawing, you said it all here, my cousin who reads my poems, tells me they have a buddist flair-not bad- as i love the budda mind set too-but i,m my own-brand of faith— you know?do no harm??and you can call my god any bad, name- its never intemidated by little man—or his mouth of endless chatter

  • thanks Vault… and that Buddhist concept of “EMPTINESS” will soon visit… and with your mind set you’ll gladly help “empty the vault!”

Very exotic drawing/also, extremely well drawn. ;-) I particularly like the way the background characters seem slightly out of focus; then, the focus becomes a lot more sharp as our eyes do increasingly move in. GREAT!

  • thanks Paul, enjoy your observations and YOUR perspective!
