The Buddhist temples (Wats) of Thailand are numerous, splendid and amazing. Their details and decoration can overwhelm the eye.
I actually stopped trying to draw many of my usually fast and simple pen and ink sketches while there. Too much detail, too many distractions… YET, here is an image I drew in a Wat the tourist guide labeled as the “Lucky Buddha Wat”. I’ve experimented by cleaning up the sketch and adding background color and simple details.
